I was born in the Netherlands and emigrated with my husband to Australia in 2003.

I have a lot of hobbies but painting is what I’ve always wanted to explore, although when raising a young family there was no time for exploring my art inspirations.

As a child I won several art-prizes and I designed a sticker for a pet store.

I have always loved painting and drawing and have painted on the walls of my three sons bedrooms when they were small instead of using wallpaper.

It was always my dream to become an "artist". I started taking art classes in Kalamunda in 2004 and I’ve been painting and drawing ever since. At the end of 2006 I decided to paint full-time in my studio at home.

I am self-taught and love painting people and animals but give every subject a go, especially anything that I believe is a real challenge.

I’ve worked with pastels, charcoal, acrylics, oils and watercolours and love to experiment.
